MoCoTo enables a smartphone to be used as a corneal topographer. It comprises an illumination device that projects a grid onto the subject’s cornea. A smartphone app captures an image of the grid’s reflection on the cornea and calculates the shape of its surface. The parameters describing the corneal topography are then used to fit contact lenses to each individual, and the data are stored in the subject’s record for future reference.
